Laura Gemser was an alluring Indonesian model. Her family moved to the Netherlands where she ended up studying Fashion Design at the Artibus Art School in Utrecht. She became known as a prolific nude model, posing in many mens’ magazines including many international editions of Playboy. Her modeling work in turn led her to land a role in “Free Love” in 1974 and then on to a number of other soft-core porn film roles including about a million sequels to “Emanuelle.”
When she retired from acting, she took up costume design. Laura Gemser retired from the movie business completely in the 1990’s and still lives in Italy. Read more about her life at Cult Sirens.
In addition to her magazine appearances, she also appeared on the covers of many albums. Most of these were Hawaiian Music, printed in Germany, but they also included the soundtracks to some of her movies.

Laura ended up in tons of magazines. Many of them were cinema magazines showing pictures from her latest film. While they all seemed to have stills from the films, she still posed for new photoshoots for many of the magazines. Especially for those not dedicated towards her film appearances.
