Judy O’Day seems to be a bit of an lost enigma these days. She seemed to be a fairly popular 1950’s pinup model who posed in a variety of Men’s magazines and “Photo Art books.” She’s credit on various blogs around the internet as a burlesque dancer. Jim Linderman at Vintage Sleaze has the most information about her.
And even that is lacking.
Her most famous pictorial seems to have been in Playboy-wanna-be magazine, “Satan.” She was dressed as the devil in issue number one. This magazine only had six issues and is only remember because one issue featured Bettie Page.
Of course, everyone, even your nudie models, smoked in those days.
I’m not sure if she ever met Bettie, but the two have another link – Photographer Irving Klaw also did some spanking photos with Judy O’Day and another model. (Please comment below if you know who this other model is.) Thanks to Johnny B, the other model is identified as Jonnie Wilson.
She also posed with a few other models, does anyone know who these girls are?
The other model here has been identified as “Fifi”
Jim (from the above site,) states that she was in Modern Man Magazine in 1958, and in Hi-Life in 1959. She was (likely a reprint of the first photo shoot) in Faces and Figures Number 1
She was also on the cover of naughty songstress, Faye Richmonde’s album “A Little Spice“. Her picture was replaced on the second edition of the album.
After her career, Judy O’Day seems to have faded into obscurity. Please comment below if you know anything more about her. Otherwise, enjoy her pictures!
